CAKE BATTER MILKSHAKE

ads A creamy and ultra-decadent cake batter milkshake to help you celebrate your “very merry unbirthday” anytime you want! Only three ingredients, plus an option to make this delicious cake batter shake boozy!

Alright, for the longest time, I said I wouldn’t use boxed cake mix in any of my recipes. And I resisted for two and a half years. I even considered making my own cake mix, but that isn’t the same because it won’t have that buttery taste, or that familiar imitation vanilla flavor.

Finally, after having my little cousin (who just turned 10 recently) beg me for a week straight to make him cake batter favored things, I caved and made him this cake batter milkshake. (For my daughter who I don’t let drink milkshakes, had my birthday cake smoothie instead).

I have to admit, I did miss boxed cake mix. I really missed it. I was surprised at how much I actually missed it. Maybe this blog is going in a new direction….. Naaaaaah! But it was a really nice treat to have and tide me over for a while!

I loved how thick and delectable the cake batter made the milkshake. I wanted to have another glass the second I was finished my first! But I held off because I also had cake that day too. Shameful? Yes. Ashamed? Not one bit.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups vanilla ice cream (or cake batter ice cream)
  • 1/2 cup funfetti dry cake mix
  • 1 1/3 cup whole milk
  • Optional
  • 1/3 cup flavored vodka (I recommend whipped cream or cake flavored)
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon frosting
  • sprinkles
  • chocolate syrup
  • Whipped cream

Instructions
  1. In a blender, add the ice cream, cake mix, and milk.
  2. Blend on low to mix the ingredients, then slowly bring the speed up to high, then blend for about 30 seconds. If using the vodka, add in and blend for another 20 seconds.
  3. .................................
